In the tranquil corners of Mujgunni Park’s newly named “Ullash” space, a fresh breeze of creativity and cuisine has started to flow. Artyard Café, inaugurated in January 2025, is not just another restaurant—it’s a thoughtful blend of food, art, and experience, built to offer Khulna a flavor of Europe’s café culture.

Founded by two architect friends who share a deep passion for food, Artyard Café stands apart in its philosophy and presentation. From the name itself—Artyard—to its thematic backbone, the café is a celebration of both artistry and gastronomy. Every piece of furniture and decoration has been carefully handcrafted in-house, creating a rustic-yet-contemporary atmosphere where creativity seeps into every corner.
A Space Beyond the Plate
The café is designed not merely to serve food but to become a destination. Nestled slightly away from the main bustle of Khulna city, the Mujgunni Park location was a deliberate choice. The lush surroundings and open layout allow Artyard to serve not just meals, but memories. The ambiance offers an escape from city chaos, making it ideal for both casual diners and fine dining enthusiasts.

Artyard doesn’t just cater to food lovers. It doubles as a cultural hub. With walls adorned by curated artifacts and artworks, the café aims to become a future center for art exhibitions and sales. Patrons can expect an evolving gallery space as the owners plan to regularly feature local artists.
A Menu for Every Mood
The café’s culinary offerings are as diverse as its design. Spanning across Chinese, Arabian, Indian, and fast food, the menu promises something for everyone. Among the crowd favorites, the in-house BBQ and Chinese dishes stand out as the best-sellers.

In addition to serving walk-in customers, Artyard also hosts seminars, get-togethers, and private gatherings, allowing the creative atmosphere to extend into corporate and personal events.
Disconnect to Reconnect
In a world dominated by screens and digital noise, Artyard Café takes a bold step in a different direction. The café does not offer Wi-Fi, instead encouraging guests to engage in meaningful face-to-face conversations. To support this vision, they’ve stocked a growing collection of books—perfect for solo visitors or readers wanting to unwind with a good story over a cup of coffee.

Plans are also underway to introduce board games, adding yet another interactive dimension to the experience.
A Backyard Like No Other
One of the café’s most distinctive attractions is its live BBQ setup in the backyard—a rarity in Khulna. This open-air segment not only enhances the culinary experience but brings guests closer to the process, making dining more personal and memorable.

Challenges and Vision
Despite its early success, Artyard Café is not without its challenges. The distance from Khulna’s city center can be a concern for some, and managing overwhelming crowds during peak hours has tested the team’s capacity. However, the owners remain optimistic, viewing these hurdles as growing pains on the path to long-term sustainability.

Looking forward, the founders envision Artyard evolving into an even more vibrant space—adding new features, hosting regular art events, and strengthening its place as a cornerstone of cultural and culinary life in Khulna.
Artyard Café is more than just a place to eat—it’s a canvas of creativity, a retreat for thinkers, artists, foodies, and dreamers. In a city eager for new experiences, this hidden gem is painting a delicious new picture.
